According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by 6,5% in July 2021 compared to the same month of the preceding year. In the seventh month of the current year, 132,640 units were sold; 9,284 units less than in July 2020.

”In January – July 2021 a total of 953,760 cars were sold which is still a 28,4% increase in comparison with the same period of previous year. The next months will show further corrections linked to limiting effects of worldwide production cuts following the shortage of electronic components,” Dr. Thomas Staertzel, Chairman of the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee, said.
