New car market in Russia: August, 2017 figures are released

According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia increased by 16,7% in August 2017 compared to the same month of 2016. This August 132,742 units were sold; 18,961 units more than in August 2016.

In the first eight months of 2017, 980,921 cars and LCVs were sold in Russia.

Top 10 brands in August, 2017:
Lada: 26,211 units
Kia: 15,050 units
Hyundai: 13,446 units
Renault*: 11,163 units
Toyota*: 7,904 units
Volkswagen: 7,171 units
Nissan*: 5,885 units
Škoda: 5,048 units
GAZ*: 4,988 units
Ford*: 4,222 units

*LCV sales are included into total brand's sales.
