TATA, HUNGARY -- NHK Spring Hungary Kft has officially opened its new European headquarters and production plant at the Tata Industrial Park. Previously springs of the company were produced for the European market by a joint venture in Spain. The new facility lies on an 8 hectare field. By 2020 it will reach its full capacity of 3.5 million suspension coil springs and 1.2 million stabiliser bars a year. The total investment amounts to €35.5 million (HUF 11 billion), which is supported by an €2.8 million (HUF 886 million) government grant. During the first phase the company will provide employment to 100 people.
