Grupo Antolin opens new plant in Nededza, Slovakia

The new plant has a staff of 90 people and 5,000 s.m. facilities. With an installed capacity production of 150,000 modular headliners it is expected to invoice 16 million euros in 2012. The first units came out from the line at the beginning of January for the Kia Venga (headliner and door panels) and Sportage (headliner) models.

As Ernesto Antolin, vice president of the Spanish multinational points out, "the launch of this new centre in Slovakia has represented a significant investment, 4.5 million euros, justified by the need to approach and improve our customer service to Kia Motors that already in 2005 decided to set up its first European plant in Slovakia". The Korean manufacturer has closed 2011 with record sales of 2.47 million units, 18.6% more than in 2010, also obtaining a 22% rise in the European territory due to the increasing demand.

This is the second plant of Grupo Antolin in Slovakia where the company operates since 2001 in Bratislava through a production centre and JIT (Just in Time), which employs 205 people and provides modular headliners to most relevant automobile manufacturers.

Grupo Antolin is a major Spanish manufacturer of interior components and ranks the 56th place among the most important suppliers in the automotive industry worldwide. In 2011, its turnover came to 2,457 million euros and excellent results primarily based on Grupo Antolin’s vast diversification in terms of Regions, Clients and Products.

With the recent acquisition of the European lighting supplier CML Innovative Technologies, Grupo Antolin has expanded its presence to 24 countries, has 95 centres and more than 13,000 employees.
