Škoda Starts Construction of New Lean Center

Upon completion, the training facility will serve both the employees of the company as well as suppliers from all over the world to learn the basic principles and methods of a lean corporate structure, the rules for successful team work, or the perfect management of an assembly line. The theoretical and practical training sessions shall be conducted by certified trainers of the Volkswagen Group. The training classrooms will be spread out over four floors and an area of 5,700 square meters.

“Until 2018, Škoda would like to double its sales to around 1.5 million vehicles per year. To reach this goal, the know-how of its employees is crucial,” Bohdan Wojnar, the board member for Human Resources, said in his comments on the decision for the construction of the center.
