Sumitomo to Set Up Diesel Particle Filter Plant in Poland

The company plans to invest PLN200 million (app. €44 million) in the project, wich will create 100 new jobs in the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone. Sumika Ceramics Poland will launch DPF production in the third quarter of 2013, and plans to reach full capacity in 2014, when the usage of diesel particulate filters will be mandated as standard equipment for vehicles powered by Euro 6 compilant engines in Europe.

Japanese Sumitomo Chemical Co. Ltd. will start production of aluminum titanate diesel particulate filters (DPF) at its subsidiary Sumika Ceramics Poland Sp. z o.o. in 2013
