Continental to Increase Production of Passenger Car Tyres in the Czech Republic

The German tyre manufacturer Continental AG will invest to boost production of passenger car tyres at its existing Czech site in Otrokovice, the Czech Press Agency (CTK) reported. Local subsidiary Barum Continental s.r.o. is thus responding to increasing demand for its products.

The project, which will consist of three phases, includes the construction of a two-storey production hall with a total area of 7,500 m2. In the first phase, the company will build a 4,000 m2 facility for final production operations. Construction of the new hall is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2012.
