New Director Appointed at Audi Hungaria

Ulrich Minke (58) has been appointed as director of vehicle production at Audi Hungaria Motor Kft., effective as of July 1st, 2011. Mr. Minke has been with Audi for almost 30 years. He will be responsible for the coordination of all activities related to the project ’Car Production Győr’.

Audi announced last September its intention to expand the automotive production plant in Hungary. Beginning in 2013 about 125,000 cars per year will roll off the line in Győr, including the Audi TT Coupé and TT Roadster, the A3 Cabriolet and the new A3 sedan. In addition, the car manufacturer will create 1,800 new jobs at its Hungarian site. After the plant is upgraded, Audi will support more than 15,000 jobs in the region through its permanent workforce at Audi Hungaria as well as through its service providers and suppliers.
