Hyundai Launches Construction Work on a New Production Hall in Nosovice

PRAGUE, Czech Republic - After obtaining final approval from local authorities, Hyundai launched construction work on its new production hall in Nosovice, Czech Republic.

The new facility, which will enable the company to produce up to 500,000 gearboxes a year is part of Hyundai's expansion plan to expand production capacity at the plant from 200,000 cars a year to 300,000 cars a year. To that end, Hyundai will launch three-shift operations this autumn.

Czech-built gearboxes will be used in locally produced models, but will also be exported to the Kia factory in Zilina and to Hyundai's new plant in St. Petersburg, Russia.

New facility will produce gearboxes for cars produced in the region
