Promet Acquires Tatra’s Subsidiary Tawesco

Czech-based Promet Group a.s. has acquired local automotive supplier Tawesco s.r.o., a subsidiary of truck manufacturer Tatra, for an undisclosed price. Tawesco is engaged in manufacturing of metal processing tools and various stamped and welded parts for local OEMs and international Tier 1 companies. Its customers include Skoda and Tatra, as well as Benteler, Magna and Visteon.
Promet Group supplies raw materials, especially pig iron, to steel mills and foundries in the Czech Republic and its neighbouring countries. It also produces castings for the automotive and other industries.
