Mobis to Build Second Manufacturing Plant in Slovakia

South Korean supplier Hyundai Mobis Co. will invest €18 million to build a second production facility in Slovakia which will supply brake system components for vehicles to be made by adjacent Kia and nearby Czech car plants, Hosporadske Noviny reported. When it becomes operational in December 2012, the new production hall in Zilina will provide jobs for 320 people.

Hyundai Mobis already has a plant in Zilina with a workforce of about 1.200, producing frontend, cockpit, chassis and bumper modules. It also operates a facility in the nearby town of Nosovice in the Czech Republic.
