OROSHÁZA, Hungary - British-owned Doherty Hungary Kft., a supplier of precision turned parts, spindles and shafts for the automotive, domestic appliance and power tool sectors, is to invest more than HUF283 million (approx. €1.07 million) to expand capacity at its manufacturing base in Orosháza, South-East Hungary.
The company has won a subsidy of HUF113 million from the European Union for the project, financial director Mihály Varga told MTI. Doherty Hungary currently employs over 100 workers to turn out 11-12 million units a year from 1,200 tons of feedstock. The planned expansion will increase output by at least a million units annually.
