Otto Fuchs to Lay Off 187 Employees at Tatabánya Plant

TATABÁNYA, Hungary - Otto Fuchs Hungary Kft., a subsidiary of German Otto Fuchs KG, plans to lay off 187 employees within a month at its plant in Tatabánya, 45km west of Budapest.

The company will downsize its workforce because it will halt production of aluminium wheels using casting, and plans to focus on development and production of forged wheels instead. The Tatabánya plant currently employs more than 500 employees and produces 2.2 million aluminium wheels annually.
