New car market in Russia: October, 2014 figures are released

According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), October 2014 saw a drop in sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia by 9,9% in comparison with the same period of 2013. This October 211,365 units were sold; this is 23,116 units less than in October, 2013.

Between January and October 2014 new car and LCV sales declined by 12,7% or 289,869 units in comparison to the same period of the previous year. This year 1,991,312 cars have been sold.

Lada: 37,788 units
Kia: 17,392 units
Renault*: 16,664 units
Hyundai*: 15,393 units
Toyota*: 12,877 units
Nissan*: 11,924 units
Volkswagen: 9,322 units
Chevrolet: 9,181 units
Škoda: 7,440 units
Mitsubishi: 7,124 units

*LCV sales are included into total brand's sales.
