New car market in Romania: August, 2014 figures are released

The latest statistical bulletin has been published by Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association in Romania. In August 2014, there were 7,141 new cars and LCVs supplied to dealers.
In the first eight months of 2014, total new light vehicle registrations in Romania amounted to 61,277 units (PC: 53,794 units/LCV: 7,483 units).

There were 5,959 new passenger cars delivered in August.
Leading brands:
Dacia: 1,490 units
Volkswagen: 768 units
Škoda: 668 units
Renault: 460 units
Ford: 428 units

There were 1,182 new LCVs delivered in August, 2014.
Leading brands:
Dacia: 280 units
Opel: 250 units
Ford: 123 units
Mercedes-Benz: 99 units
Fiat: 95 units
