New car market in Russia: June, 2014 figures are released

According to the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee (AEB AMC), June 2014 saw a drop in sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia by 17,3% in comparison with the same period of 2013. This June 199,398 units were sold; this is 41,674 units less than in June, 2013.

In the first half of 2014 new car and LCV sales declined by 7,6% or 101,266 units compared to the same period of the previous year. This year 1,229,839 cars have been sold between January and June.

Kia: 17,023 units
Hyundai*: 16,754 units
Renault*: 16,479 units
Toyota*: 13,139 units
Nissan*: 12,007 units
Volkswagen: 10,850 units
Chevrolet: 7,891 units
Škoda: 7,857 units
GAZ*: 6,182 units

*LCV sales are included into total brand's sales.
